1. Program features:
(1) Specially-tailored one-semester full-English courses for international students;
(2) Equal number of Chinese students will be selected to join the lectures;
(3) On-campus accommodation;
(4) Opportunities to experience Chinese culture and visit famous historical spots will be provided;
2. Program Duration: March 7th, 2016 to June 10th, 2016 / totally 14 weeks
3. Student Registration date: March 4th – 6th, 2016
4. Four majors open for application:
(1) Marine Transportation in Merchant Marine College
(2) Marine Engineering in Merchant Marine College
(3) International Maritime Business in College of Communications and Transport
(4) Marine Safety and Environmental Protection in College of Ocean Science & Engineerng
5. Application requirement:
(1)Undergraduate students in the 2nd or 3rd year of study in maritime-related universities/colleges;
(2)Have similar academic background in one of the four above-mentioned majors;
(3)Approved by your home university for studying abroad for 14 weeks;
6. Required documents from candidates:
(1) Application Form for International Students at Shanghai Maritime University
(Please print the required information.)
(2) Latest transcript in your current university / college
(3) Photocopy of valid passport
(4) Passport-size photo (digital and printed)
Note: Those documents should be prepared, scanned, and send photocopy to the following email address first, and then delivered to the SMU Lingang Campus.
Deadline for application: November 30th, 2015
7. Fees
(1) Tuition: free
(2) Accommodation: international students dormitory; double room;
Rent fee: CNY 600yuan / month, or CNY 900yuan /month. (Depending on room type)
(3)Insurance: CNY 400yuan /person. (required insurance for each student)
